Thank you for visiting my website. Below is a brief introduction to the books I write.

My novel Promise of Silver was published in May, 2014 and the sequel, Promise of the Hills, was published in September, 2015. Somewhere a River was published in October 2014 and I was named 2015 Georgia Author of the Year by the Georgia Writers Association.

Although my books fall within the genre of contemporary Southern fiction, I think the basic human condition is universal in nature. In that regard, I strive to look beyond the cloak of characters, setting, and plot. William Faulkner said that the only thing worth writing about is "the human heart in struggle with itself." That eloquently describes the premise that guides my writing. In Promise of Silver, a senior couple face a decision of conscience that has no clear right or wrong answer. In Promise of the Hills the aftermath of that decision will affect generations to come. In Somewhere a River, a man spends most of his adult life in guilty exile until he surrenders to the grace of self-forgiveness.
